Our second chosen charity is Links International, a charity who focus on changing lives in developing countries. They work with partners to educate, empower, resource and inspire individuals and communities to break free from the cycle of poverty.
An example of what can be bought: £45 provides a filter kit and spare ceramic filter to those who need it, with training. This will provide safe water for up to 200 people for at least 2 years.

Today has been another day of ticking off the jobs – Norman and Rowan collected all the magnetic sponsor and charity logos which will go on the vehicles. Many thanks to our sponsor Furness Plastics for providing these.
We came across the following photo from yesteryear, which shows Norman’s great uncle (his grandfather’s brother) Arthur Churchill with his cycling trophies. The Race Around Ireland would have been more difficult on his bike!
Jonathan and Rowan are collecting the support van tomorrow from Pye Motors, another of our generous sponsors. Adam is travelling up from Birmingham in his Landrover Discovery which will be the follow car for the race. Both these vehicles will then be packed with all the kit and supplies ready for the off on Thursday morning. Keep watching this space!
